Working Mom

I believe that being a mom is work 24/7, whether she stays at home or is employed outside the home. I  work outside the home for financial reasons, but even if I had the financial resources to stay home I would likely still work outside the home. I am one of those people that require adult interaction and have a desire to be outside the home. I feel like I am a better mom because I work outside the home. I know many people will argue this fact but anyone that knows me would likely agree that it is best that I work outside the home. I have complete admiration for moms that are able to stay at home with their kids. Staying home would likely send me to an insane asylum.
Working full-time at a job that is 30 miles from home and being a divorced mom has its challenges but thankfully I am blessed that Madelyn has an amazing dad that is truly a co-parent in every sense of the word. I am grateful for him.
I adore my daughter and love her more than any person in the entire world and because I work outside the home does not mean I love or adore her any less. It just means I know my limits. :)

Where We've Been

A vocal concert.....where Madelyn is the tallest kid in the class and on the back row with mostly boys.

Basketball...Basketball..and more Basketball. She has practice twice a week and games every Saturday until mid March. The team struggles and has yet to win a game. Madelyn has made a basket or two almost every game and usually has several fouls. She fouled out once, then the coach learned that sitting her out a bit during the game will prevent that. She's a scrappy thing.

#4 - one of the youngest, but the tallest on the team.

My camera is not the best so action shots are hard to come by.

...And hanging with the Harlem Globetrotters. What an awesome show they put on. Madelyn loved it!!! Of course she had to have a Harlem Globetrotters ball and then after the game we stood in line for two autographs, one from the only white boy on the team, Hops, and one from the tallest guy on the team, Stretch.

She sat in awe most of the game.

Always full of tricks
Big Easy playing pranks on the audience.
Holding her ball up as high as she could so Stretch would autograph.

A very tall Stretch
