Yesterday Ryan joined Madelyn in the school cafeteria for a lunch date. Madelyn was super excited to be having lunch with her daddy, and all the other kids loved that he was there too.
One of the many fond memories I have of my dad is when he used to spend part of a day with me at school. He would usually spend time in my classroom and then take me out to lunch. When I went through those nasty teenage years I no longer wanted my dad at school because of the whole embarrassment factor that teenage kids have so my dad honored my request. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have been such a teenager and would have gladly had my daddy join me a day at school even when I was a teenager. Because as an adult those are the memories that I most treasure.
