Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year I was master pumpkin carver. Since I have very little artistic ability I knew this would be a challenge and would likely end up being a disaster if I didn't have some assistance. Off to Wal-Mart we went to locate a pumpkin carving kit with stencils. I let Madelyn pick out the design and of course she chose one of the more challenging ones, but I was up for the challenge. The end result didn't turn out terrible but there is room for improvement next go round.

Madelyn's favorite part is cleaning out the pumpkin "guts" and cleaning the pumpkin seeds.

Getting the pumpkin seeds ready for baking.
The final product... It says WELCOME... kind of

Hi! I'm stopping by from Kelly's Korner. Your pumpkin looks great. We usually do the kit and stencils, but this year I went simple and just did a face. Much easier. :)
