This blog was created to capture memories about my one and only child Madelyn Grace, with just a few tidbits about her mama. I keep this blog not only to update family and friends but also for me to look back and remember life with Madelyn.

Flood of 2008
We had terrential rains Thursday and Friday which lead to area flooding. The weathermen warned that it could be as bad as the flood of 98, but thankfully they were wrong. When it was all said and done we had around 8 inches of rain. Several schools surrounding Augusta were closed Friday because of flooded roads. My employer let people go home at 1:00pm on Friday because the roads around us were flooded and only getting worse. When I got home on Friday afternoon and picked up Madelyn from school she could not wait to get in the "river" next to our house. Living next to a big ditch is probably not a huge selling point for many people but one little girl on Ranchwood Drive thinks the ditch is pretty cool. This is how Madelyn spent her Friday afternoon.

Looks like fun to me! Uncle Travis wanted to know if you were skiing in the ditch - he saw the rope and thought maybe you were!
LOL! No that was a rope attached to Madelyn's bucket. However, we have all been tubing in the ditch in years past.
Please tell me that's not the dog on the end of that leash!!!
she is uncle bob's little mermaid
